Client/Server Option for WiNRADiO G313/G315 Series Receivers |

|
Server Operation While running, the Server application displays the receiver status, streaming status and the event log:
It is possible to run more than one Server (serving more than one receiver) on the same PC, with the same IP address, by allocating each Server to a different listening port, i.e. Receiver #1 - port 3300, Receiver #2 - port 3301, Receiver #3 - port 3302, etc. The Server software makes it possible to select the optimum compression format for the streamed audio, as a compromise between the Client side audio quality and the network load. The Event Log contains a history of all Server status changes, i.e. connection activity, audio format changes, errors, etc. There are two graphs available under the Statistics tab; they show the amount of incoming and outgoing data traffic. |

Client Operation
The operation of the remote receiver via the Client is very similar to a locally-operated G313 or G315 receiver:
|
|
To connect to the remote server, all that the user needs to do is to fill in the IP address and port number, and click the
Connect button. Upon successful connection, the Client Demodulator panel then activates and shows the various controls, similar
to those available in the standard "stand-alone" G313 or G315 demodulator, such as mode selection, volume control, spectrum analyzer display,
recorder, etc.
There are two graphs available under the Statistics tab; they show the amount of incoming and outgoing data traffic. There are also facilities for setting the audio buffer parameters, which define the audio latency of the connection. Finally, the Event Log contains a history of all Client status changes, such as connection activity, audio format changes, transmission errors, recorder events, etc.
